Since 1994, Syntiro Healthcare Services and its predecessors have provided outsourcing of key administrative and business processes and information technology services for healthcare related organizations.
Syntiro Healthcare Services, Inc. is the successor name to several merged entities, including Vectis, Inc., Telesis Medical Management, Inc., and InfoMedtrics, Inc. which came together in 2000. At the time of the merger, the Company operated a number of subsidiaries that provided an electronic medical record, managed care services, physician practice management services and risk management services to IPA's and medical groups in Rhode Island, Ohio, Kentucky, Kansas, Missouri, North Carolina and California.
Over the last several years Syntiro has restructured its operations and now has a single operating subsidiary in Durham, North Carolina. This subsidiary provides services to PrimaHealth IPA and to Duke University.
Future customers and targeted clients include independent physician practice associations (IPA), physician hospital organizations, academic medical centers, physician groups, managed care organizations, third party administrators and self insured employers. Syntiro offers these potential clients managed care services and population management, wellness, health promotion, and disease management services.
During the period from 2001 to 2007, Syntiro sold, closed and/or liquidated problem operations, leaving a single subsidiary in Durham, North Carolina, operating under the name Physician WebLink. This subsidiary manages outsourced care coordination, claims management and network management services for a 1,000 physicians in an Independent Physician Association (IPA). Physician WebLink also provides a comprehensive population management service, including wellness, health promotion, disease management and clinical coaching to the employees of Duke University and Duke University Health Systems.
